# Fixing Sidecar

Note: Due to issues with Lilu's userspace patcher, this is currently broken in Big Sur

To resolve Sidecar issues with legacy Macs, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

iGPU is present on your machine and supports H.264 encoding
- dGPU only machines like the Mac Pro are unsupported unfortunately
USB Cable is present and plugged in
- Wireless Sidecar requires an H.265 capable iGPU, which is only present in Skylake+

If you meet all these requirements, then grab the below kext:

Remember to place this under EFI/OC/Kexts and run ProperTree's snapshot function(Cmd+R) on your config.plist

Keep in mind that H.264 encoding will result in heavy compression, there's unfortunately nothing you can do about it
