# Prerequisites with OpenCanopy
Before looking through different media sets to use with OpenCore, you'll need the following:
- OpenCore setup and booting

- OpenCanopy setup
- For new users, see the Setting up OpenCore's GUI (opens new window)
- For in-depth documentation, see OpenCore's manual (opens new window)
Note, different OpenCore builds will support different features:
- 0.7.0 format:
- Reworked folder structure, named subfolders
- 0.6.8 format:
- Password UI added
- Power off / Reset buttons added
- media sets are now in separate directories
- 0.6.6 format:
- Left and right arrows added
- Background added
- 0.5.7 format:
- Initial support
